Williation.com - Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. About Williation

Williation is a secure digital life and legacy organisation platform. It allows users to store personal, family, and digital information in an encrypted private vault, set up emergency access for trusted contacts, and manage digital legacy instructions.

Williation is not a legal will service. It is not an estate executor. It is not a licensed inheritance authority. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice or a legally binding will.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be 18 years or older to use Williation.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password. You must enable 2FA if required.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Your Vault Data

You own your data. We do not claim rights over your vault contents.

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of information you store
  • The consequences of sharing emergency access
  • The instructions you leave for emergency contacts
  • Keeping your own backups
  • We strongly recommend you maintain offline copies of critical information. We cannot guarantee data recovery in all circumstances.

5. Encryption and Security Limitations

We implement industry-standard encryption and security practices. However, no system is completely immune to breach.

We are not liable for losses arising from:

  • Your own disclosure of credentials
  • Attacks beyond our reasonable control
  • Third-party service failures
  • We will notify you of any confirmed data breach affecting your account in accordance with UK GDPR obligations.

6. Emergency Access and Inactivity Alerts

The wellness check and inactivity alert features are tools to help you plan for emergencies. They are not a death verification service.

When inactivity is detected beyond your configured period:

  • Your nominated emergency contacts will be alerted
  • Additional approval steps are required before vault access is granted
  • Vault contents are not released automatically
  • You are responsible for keeping your emergency contact list up to date. We are not responsible for failed notifications to incorrect or outdated contacts.
  • Williation does not act as a legal proxy, solicitor, or estate agent. Emergency contacts are granted access as you define - this is not a legal transfer of assets or estate.

7. Prohibited Use

You must not use Williation to:

  • Store illegal content
  • Facilitate fraud or identity theft
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the platform
  • Violate any applicable law

8. Subscription and Payments

Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.

Refund policy: Requests within 14 days of initial purchase will be considered. Contact billing@williation.com. Renewals are non-refundable unless required by law.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts with failed payments after a grace period.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses caused by:

  • Planned or unplanned downtime
  • Force majeure events
  • Third-party infrastructure failures

10. Account Inactivity

Accounts with no login activity for 24 consecutive months may be flagged. You will receive email warnings before any action is taken. You may prevent closure by logging in.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious violations of these Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Williation's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
